Account Management

Your ALTR account is your identity with us. It is what you use to manage your business, employees and access to the POS within our system. Here's how to manage your account securely and effectively. It is also where our responsibility to comply with KYC regulations are enforced.

Resetting Your Password

If you’ve forgotten your password or need to reset it for security reasons:

  1. Go to the ALTR Portal login screen.

  2. Click “Forgot password?”

  3. Enter the email address associated with your account.

  4. You’ll receive a password reset email. Click the link inside.

  5. Enter a new password and confirm it.

  6. Click “Reset Password” to finalize.

Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA adds an extra layer of security to your business owner account by requiring a code from your authentication app in addition to your password.

To enable MFA for your business owner account:

  1. Log in to the ALTR Portal.

  2. Go to My Account > Security Settings.

  3. Under Multi-Factor Authentication, click “Enable”.

  4. Scan the QR code using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy.

  5. Enter the 6-digit code generated by the app to confirm.

  6. MFA will now be enabled for your account.

Note: You'll be prompted for this code each time you log in from a new device or browser.

ID Verification

To comply with legal and security requirements such as KYC, you are required to verify your identity before completing any transactions in ALTR POS.

Steps for ID verification:

  1. Navigate to My Account > Identity Verification.

  2. Click 'Verify my ID' and follow the prompts

You'll receive an email once your ID is verified, typically within 24 hours.

Deleting Your Account

If you no longer wish to use ALTR and want your account permanently deleted:

  1. Log in to the ALTR Portal.

  2. Go to My Account > Account Settings.

  3. Scroll down to “Delete My Account” and click it.

  4. You’ll be asked to confirm your password and verify your identity (if MFA is enabled).

  5. Click “Permanently Delete Account.”

⚠️ Warning: This action is irreversible. All associated data, including transaction history and store records, will be permanently removed.

Please check with state and federal laws for more information about retention of relevant tax and transaction documents before deleting your account.
